Current electricity Question?
Ends of the external resistance are connected to 19 cells in series each of internal resistance 0.1 ohm.
Current is found to be 2 Ampere.
Now the number of cells are reduced to 15 and an extra external resistance of 9.5 ohm is connected
in series to given resistance.
Now the current becomes half (1 Ampere).
Find the external resistance and emf of each cell.
I am getting the ans as 13.8 ohm external resistance and the emf as 1.654 V

Maths - How many big wind turbines would you need to power the UK?
Don't say this is impracticable because this question is purely after the maths (if one has the relevant facts), not the implications or practicalities okay!
Based on AVERAGE ANNUAL WIND STRENGTHS, and assuming efficient new power storage capabilities, how many of the large variety of wind turbines would be needed in order to generate power equal to the UK's current electricity usage?
